Winter Newsletter 2019

Onward to Winter

As winter approaches, we look back on some of our summer projects, and look forward to getting out in the field without thermals again.

As we spend more time indoors, we’re planning and preparing for next spring and summer when we can break ground on more developments. If you have an idea for a surveying, engineering or planning project, our office is warm and we can make good coffee. We’d appreciate the opportunity to discuss your ideas.

Stay warm,

– Mark.

Unlocking Your Value

Out and About in Canterbury

There can be a lot of value in rural land… If it’s properly prepared.

Instead of selling off large areas, we can subdivide. Creating smaller land parcels helps land holders to realise their land’s values and rationalise their land holdings. At the end of the day, it’s about helping you get a better return on your investment.

The Myall and Thurlow team have been out and about subdividing and assisting a utility company in Greater Canterbury with their electricity infrastructure requirements.

Cross Lease Conundrum

Cross Lease Conundrum

Do you think your title may be defective? Would you prefer the freedom that comes from owning (and selling) a freehold property?

While the view from this balcony is beautiful, the owners were unable to sell because of a defective title. We strongly encourage converting defective cross-lease titles into fee-simple (freehold) properties, and can help you through the process.

By converting the property to freehold, we were able to solve their issues, increase their property value and get their property to market. If you would like to know more, we’re here to help.

Enjoy The Long Weekend

Queens Birthday

We hope you enjoy the opportunity to rest, relax, and spend time with loved ones this Queen’s Birthday Weekend.

Our office will stay closed on Monday June 3rd, and we encourage you to slow down and take a break too. If you’re heading away over the long weekend, please drive with care.

All The Way To Carnegie Hall

The Vocal Collective in Carnegie Hall

Our senior surveyor Rita had the opportunity to sing in New York’s Carnegie Hall as part of Christchurch choir, The Vocal Collective.

Founded in the aftermath of the earthquakes, The Vocal Collective performs popular songs that uplift and inspire.

On their recent trip to the United States, The Vocal Collective used one of their concerts to fundraise $6000 for the victims of the March 15th tragedy. Awesome Rita, your choir rocks.
